Learn how Louise and Kev adopted cats Purdey and Peanut

.

How we rescued Purdey

Purdy and Peanut are half sisters. Purdy our Tabby came into our lives at 9 weeks old in February 2019. We had tried to adopt a new fur baby after the loss of our old girl Pixie. Unfortunately as we live off a busy road, we were unable to adopt via a rescue center / shelter so we adopted Purdy as a tiny kitten. She was a real jumping bean. We walked her when she was able to go outside and we built a catio in the garden for her to play in and experience the outdoor world in the saftey of an enclosure – as I mentioned we live off a busy road so Purdy wouldn’t be able to go out unsupervised because of the dangers from the road.

And then there was peanut

A couple of months later we were asked if we could adopt Purdy’s half sister, Peanut. We did, in an instant as she was so cute. Peanut joined us and she is so cute and hilarious. Whilst Purdy is a little bit of a diva, Peanut is so sweet and gentle.

Why My Cat Grass?

Both of the girls loved to snack on grass on their walks, wearing their harnesses and loving every second. So we wanted to find a good quality cat grass for the girls at home and which could be moved from inside to outside in their catio with ease. With them being adopted we were concerned about other factors too such as Fur Balls, Hydration/Water Intake, Nutritional Value and as a healthier alternative to fatty treats. We’d done our research on cat grass and wanted the best for our new kittens and found My Cat Grass to be the safest and reliable source.

The Ready Grown Cat Grass Tray from My Cat Grass seemed like the best option for us and our cats. We especially liked they’re being pet food registered – so we could rely on it being safe and the fact that they’re organic registered too – so we knew it was good quality.  We ordered a Regular Tray of Ready Grown Cat Grass, a Regular Tray Station and the additional soil to help it grow and last longer.

It was delivered ready to eat, on time and before we’d even unpacked the box, the girls could smell the goodness through the box. We chose to buy the additional soil to keep the grass in peak condition and the water spray trigger bottle to keep the grass watered. This really helped keep the grass fresh for a long time – our lasted just under four weeks but I know that’s dependent on the time of year and we really took care of ours. This advice provided by Bleu also made it better value for money as we’d need to order less often. We really appreciated that the owner of the company has cats, and is willing to spend time support owners with good advice – they genuinely care.

The girls absolutely love their cat grass. Their heads were straight in the container, munching away, they just love it. They nibble the grass several times a day, it’s great to know that they have access to great quality grass anytime.
