Shipping December Update 2021

As expected with the shortage of haulage and delivery drivers and the increase in online sales there will be times during the festive period where couriers will be working at capacity. On this page we will keep you updated of any issues that arise, their resolution and time frames. We will monitor our shipping partners over the festive period and into the new year to cover the festive period and the January sales. We apologies in advance for any delays but would like to remind customers we are doing everything we can to get your parcels to you, on time. However their will be occasions where this might not be possible due to haulage and delivery driver shortages, the increase in online shopping and the capacity of our courier partners, DPD and Royal Mail. Please follow this link to see our guide to shopping and shipping in time for Christmas by following this link. However we urge all customers not to leave their shopping to the last minute this year (wherever they chose to shop) as we expect further delays the closer we get to the festive period.

Shipping Update December 2021

Wednesday the 1st of December 2021 – ON GOING

Unfortunately our collection from DPD was cancelled today due to a back log of 57,000 parcels at our local DPD depot. We continue to work with DPD to ensure our parcels are collected and shipped with overnight delivery. However DPD are unable to confirm at this time when they’ll be able to resume normal service as they still have 57,000 parcels to process before they accept any more parcels on to their network.

We have also experienced  delays in goods being shipped into our warehouse via DPD with notification coming in daily from suppliers that there is a delay via this depot.

DPD’s response today was:

“Dear My Cat Grass,

Thank you for your time on the phone today and again please accept our apologies that the depot is over capacity and we are unable to collect any items for you today.

Please pass on our sincerest apologies to your clients as we appreciate that the situation isn’t ideal.

At present we have over 57,000 parcels at the depot which has pushed the depot over capacity and we’re unable to accept any further parcels into the network today from our Stoke depot

I will request an update from the depot and update you first thing in the morning as to what the situation is regarding tomorrows collection.

Again, we can’t apologise enough for the inconvenience to both you and your clients and hopefully we can clear the backlog in time to be able to offer tomorrows collection with no issues.

Kind Regards, DPD Account Management Team.”

We continue to liaise with Elaine Kerr, Head of DPD Group UK and Ireland to treat our parcels as a priority due to the fresh produce nature of our products. We are also calling our customers to advise of options and next steps. We hope to speak to you soon if you have been affected.

As soon as we receive an update we will update this page to notify our customers.

As always we apologise to our customer who have experienced delays in the shipping / delivery of their parcel due the shortfall in service provided by DPD.

Bleu Stessia, Operations Manager, My Cat Grass.

Shipping Update December 2021

Shipping Update Tuesday the 30th November 2021 – ON GOING

DPD failed to collect our parcels today due to training need with their driver. We are working with the depot to ensure our parcels are collected tomorrow – Wednesday the 1st of December. We hope to get all delayed parcels shipped out tomorrow. I apologise for the delay customers are experiencing due to the service received by DPD.

Shipping Update Monday 29th November 2021 – RESOLVED

This update affects Royal Mail Second class small parcels for orders placed between the 18th November and 29th November 2021.

Royal Mail have confirmed a delay in second class small parcels being sent through their network. They confirm they are working to clear the back log and hope to have all issues resolved in the next couple of days. Orders placed between the 18th and 29th of November have been shipped and we have shipping confirmations this issue relates purely to a delay in Royal Mail delivery time frames. If you placed an order between these dates your order has been shipped and will be with you shortly.
